Overlake Appoints Dr. Dennis Rochier as New CEO of Medical Clinics

Overlake Medical Center recently announced that Dr. Dennis Rochier will join the organization as Chief Executive Officer of Overlake Medical Clinics, a new position created to directly manage Overlake’s network of clinics that span the Eastside from Bellevue to Kirkland, Redmond and Issaquah, including urgent, specialty and primary care.

Rochier returns to the Pacific Northwest where he spent more than 20 years practicing in the Federal Way area.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rochier to the Overlake community,” said Overlake Medical Center CEO J. Michael Marsh.  “This new position was developed because the clinics are such a key part of our commitment to the Eastside and ensure the most comprehensive and highest level care to our community.”

Dr. Rochier comes to Overlake from Renown Health System, a four-hospital system with 38 outpatient clinics in Reno, Nev., where he served as the executive for primary care, and most recently was the vice president and chief medical officer for the Division of Acute Care at Renown Regional Medical Center and Renown South Meadows Medical Center.

Before working at Renown, Dr. Rochier practiced  internal medicine and as a hospitalist for more than 20 years, including leading the internal medicine section at Virginia Mason’s largest satellite clinic in Federal Way.  Early in his career, he also founded and grew his own private practices.

“As Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Rochier will build on the existing excellent work the Overlake clinics are achieving in patient care, patient satisfaction, quality and financial contribution,” added Marsh. “He will lead the ongoing development of our clinic network as we respond to the remarkable growth on the Eastside.”

Dr. Rochier earned a Master of Health Administration from the University of Washington.  He attended medical school at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and completed his residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital/Dallas Veteran’s Administration Medical Center.
