The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington (CITC) has hired Mandy Jones as its new apprenticeship program assistant and promoted Blanca Lizaola who previously held that position to mechanical coordinator for the CITC apprenticeship programs of HVAC, Sheet Metal and Plumbing.
Mandy Jones is now responsible for ensuring that all CITC apprenticeship records are accurate in both CITC’s and L&I’s tracking systems. Lizaola’s new responsibilities are to provide administrative services and support for the mechanical apprenticeships within the CITC apprenticeship programs for plumbing, sheet metal, and HVAC. She will be the link between training agents (employers) and apprentices, ensuring that compliance is maintained under the required apprenticeship regulations in the State of Washington.
Prior to joining CITC, Mandy Jones has held positions in promotions and administration with Harborstone Credit Union and the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club. She earned her bachelor of arts degree from Eastern Washington University.
CITC offers ten state approved construction apprenticeship programs, ten construction craft training programs, many state approved continuing education courses for license renewal; as well as skills assessments, performance verifications, and targeted task training for performance verifications, and targeted task training for field construction professionals.
CITC provides state-approved apprenticeship and craft training in the carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, heavy equipment operator, painting, plumbing, sheet metal trades plus low energy/sound & communication technician and residential wireman. CITC is dedicated to training, developing and retaining a skilled labor force for the construction industry and is both a nationally accredited and state-approved apprenticeship training program.
