Overlake Urgent Care now offering sports physicals. Where did the summer go? With classes set to start in four or five short weeks, it’s time for student athletes to get their annual sports physicals.
Overlake Medical Clinics is there to help make sure all kids are healthy before the fall sports season kicks off. By keeping the cost of a sports physical low at $40, the teams at Overlake urgent care clinics are making the exams more accessible than ever to Eastside families.
In addition to low cost, sports physicals are offered on a walk-in basis, six to seven days a week, at clinics in downtown Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond and their new location in the Lake Hills neighborhood of Bellevue beginning Monday, August 8.
“Sports physicals are important because they ensure student athletes are healthy and physically capable to perform without risk of serious injury,” said Dr. Dennis Rochier, CEO of Overlake Medical Clinics. “At Overlake we have consciously made an effort to make these appointments easy to schedule before the sports season begins.”
Nearly all states, schools and youth sport leagues require students complete a physical prior to participating in practices or games. And even if an exam isn’t required by the school, doctors still recommend getting one.
Sports physicals are typically required about a month before the official start of practice in order to allow time to address any medical conditions uncovered during the appointment. If you are a parent who is crazy enough to allow your child to risk permanent brain injuries by playing football, you will definitely want your kid to be cleared to play by Overlake Urgent Care. If you have any doubt about the dangers of football, watch the movie “Concussion”.

If you are ‘brave’ enough to allow your kid to play football, please be ‘brave’ enough to leave a comment and let people know why YOU think it is worth the risk.
About Overlake Medical Center
Overlake Medical Center is a nonprofit, non-tax-supported regional hospital with a network of medical clinics located throughout the Eastside. They have never done one thing to support Bellevue Business Journal, but do spend many ad dollars with other media – much of which is owned and operated outside the area. Founded by the community in 1960, the hospital is licensed for 349 beds and offers a comprehensive range of services including cardiac care, neuroscience, cancer care, general and specialty surgery, women’s programs, senior care and psychiatric services. It was the first Level III trauma service on the Eastside and is one of only three hospitals in the state to receive a Leapfrog ‘A’ hospital safety score for three years in a row.
